Minutemen - Political Song for Michael Jackson Thurs sing

THE Minutemen - amazing trio from San Pedro, California, that within five years seemed more than ten tiles! The team consisted of: Dennes D. Boon - guitar, vocals Mike Watt - bass and George Hurley - drums. They began to play under the name THE REACTIONARIES, but soon changed their name to the Minutemen. The name comes from the high-speed mobile units that participated in the American Civil War.
In 1980 the band released debut album - "Paranoid Time" 7 "EP with the legendary record label SST Records. Recorded the team proved to be very original and fresh, most of the pieces of treating the paranoia of the Cold War, were given in a meaningful way and with a large dose of humor. The team wasted no time and in 1981 he released another single," Joy "7 "EP, this time in his Alliance Records label. soon attacked 12 "The punch line again at SST Records. Cover for the album was painted by D. Boon. On this record no longer hear their own style - a fusion of punk, funk, jazz, rock and szystej rage! Minutemen DIY was the band - and recorded the disc seemed cheap, they Beech his tour, playing concerts cheap, moved his own van and played lots of concerts. His double album, "Double nickels on the dime" from 1984 recorded a sudden for $ 1200. Minutemen were very prolific band, the plate seemed almost every year and participated in many compilations. The team was perhaps best known for his album "Double nickels on the dime," which was a response to news that Husker Du - label-mates also issue a double album. 22 December 1985 D.
