CIRCLE JERKS - Tell Me Why?

CIRCLE JERKS - a legend of American hardcore, which was founded in 1978 in Hermosa Beach, California. The team was founded Keith Morris - former lead singer of Black Flag guitarist Greg Hetson. Soon they were joined by Roger Rogerson - bass and Lucky Lehrer - drums. In 1979 they recorded a demo tape, "Group Sex", and then in December 1979 recorded the material for their debut album "Group Sex" which came out in the Frontier Records - 14 tracks in 21 minutes, some of them even wrote Morris for BLACK FLAG. In the same year, CIRCLE JERKS appeared alongside several other California teams in the documentary film Penelope Spheeris' The Decline of Western Civilization "(Fall of Western civilization). Concert versions of five tracks from the "Group Sex" appeared on the soundtrack for the movie.
At the end of 1980 the band signed a deal with IRS Records subsidiary Faulty Products and recorded their second album, "Wild in the Streets" - the title track is a cover of Garland Jeffreys. During this time, Faulty Products is pushing the band to record their next album. The band resumes its right of "Wild On the streets ", but it turns out that the original tape was lost and the Circle Jerks were forced to use a different tape when the resumes on a CD this CD along with" Group Sex "in 1988. Morris and the company signed another contract with Jerry Goldstein 'em and spend the third album in 1983 "Golden Shower of Hits," which comes out at the record LAX. A piece of "Coup d'Etat" from the album was used as the soundtrack for the movie Alex Cox' Repo Man. "There is also the same the band playing an acoustic version of "When the shit hits the fan" in the new lineup - the band reach a drummer Chuck Biscuits (Ex-BLACK FLAG, DOA) and bassist Earl Liberty (ex-Saccharine Trust). Soon two new members will be replaced by even newer musicians - Zander'a Schloss and Keith Clark. The team for the fourth time the label change, this time on Relativity Records, and soon releases fourth album, "Wonderful" in 1985. Shortly afterwards, already stabilized composition recorded another album, "VI", which comes out in 1987. The song from this album Fri "Love Kills" is used as the soundtrack of Alex Cox's next film "Sid and Nancy." Soon after the team leaves Zander Schloss and takes his place Chris Poland. The team suspended operations in 1989, when the leaves Hetson CIRCLE JERKS, which focuses on his second band Bad Religion. The last album for Relativity Records is a live album with the last tour the band called "Gig," which comes out in 1992. Hetson game BAD RELIGION, Schloss plays bass and guitar in several less-known bands, Clark forgiven myself playing music, and Morris is fighting for health, which lost for a long addiction to alcohol and drugs.
In 1994, the band goes back into the pile and immediately signed to Mercury Records. In 1995, CIRCLE JERKS seem new album "Oddities, Abnormalities and Curiosities. "Band embarks on a three week tour, and then falls apart - a team of good music and leave Clark. CIRCLE JERKS again and resume business cope today. There are not recorded any new album since 1995. Hetson still playing BAD RELIGION, Schloss is the bassist in the reactivated group, The Weirdos, Morris headed to 2007 V2 Records label, and Lucky Lehrer is a retailer of sunglasses. Roger Rogerson died of a drug overdose.
