MAU MAUS - Society's Rejects

MAU MAUS came from Sheffield in the UK and formed in late 1979. The band was attended by: Chris Taylor - vocals, Kevin "Bunny" Warren - bass, Andrew "Lev" Levick - guitar, Paul "Podge" Barker - drums. Initially, toured the local clubs, playing covers of other bands, but over time have already played a bit bigger sets. Soon they met Marcus Featherby'ego Pax Records label owner who organized the show with the Angelic Upstarts Marples Club in Sheffield. MAU MAUS Featherby proposed single issue in his studio - the band recorded eight songs for the sum of 50 pounds. One of them was on the compilation "Wargasm", and the rest of their debut single, "Society's Rejects." MAU MAUS played their first concerts in London at the legendary club Skunx Club and 100 Club, where he played as support act for the Angelic Upstarts and URBAN DOGS.

The band goes on tour with THE EXPLOITED, who promote her album "Let's Start A War." During the tour

In 1984, the Yorkshire miners' strike begins - it is not helping the team in any way, because half the team it was miners, the other half are unemployed. In spite of this whole situation Pax Records releases the 1984 live album MAU MAUS "Live At The Marples" and the subsequent position of Pax is a compilation album, "Running With The Pack" containing a single, recorded from the radio and concert.

After returning MAU MAUS recording their first studio album, "Fear No Evil." Play tour of the UK along with the Varukers and POLISH DOGS, recording 12 "" Nowhere To Run 'and add to the composition of a second guitarist - Richard Hall. The Bunny and the bass begin to come back to perform again. Unfortunately, soon after the team suspended operations.
